Patna: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Regional Office, Patna, in collaboration with the Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna, will organise ‘Dinkar Ek: Rang Anek’ on September 23 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
The programme will feature a lecture and a series of cultural presentations highlighting Dinkar’s contribution to Hindi literature and the continuing relevance of his works.
Programme To Highlight Dinkar’s Literary Legacy
The organisers said the event is intended to promote awareness of Dinkar’s literary and cultural legacy, particularly among younger audiences.
Dinkar remains widely recognised for works that explore nationalism, social consciousness, courage, morality, justice and human values. His celebrated works Rashmirathi and Kurukshetra continue to hold an important place in Hindi literature.
Lecture And Cultural Presentations
Sh. Tarun Kumar will deliver a lecture on Dinkar’s literary legacy and the contemporary relevance of his writings.
The cultural programme will include a poetic recitation from Kurukshetra by Sh. Javed Akhtar Khan, a musical presentation by Sh. Sita Ram Singh and his troupe, and a dramatic reading of Rashmirathi by Sh. Bimalendu Kumar.
Smt. Anamika will anchor the programme and guide the audience through its various segments.
Officials And Participants
Sh. Deepak Kumar Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor of Bihar, will attend the programme as the chief guest.
Smt. Swadha Rizvi, IFS, Regional Director, ICCR, Patna, and Professor Dr Rana Singh, Director, Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna, along with faculty members, will also attend.
The organisers expect around 200 participants, including students, academicians, literature and culture enthusiasts, and members of the wider community.
Promoting Literary And Cultural Heritage
The organisers said the programme will provide an opportunity for audiences to revisit Dinkar’s contribution to Hindi literature and engage with the continuing relevance of his ideas and poetry.
Through the event, ICCR Patna aims to promote India’s literary and cultural heritage and create platforms that connect audiences, particularly younger people, with the country’s artistic and intellectual traditions.
