Bihar Floods: JAMIPOL, AMURT Global, and Lakshya Deliver Aid to 2,000 Families

Saharsa: In response to the devastating floods in Bihar, JAMIPOL Limited, a Tata Group company, has partnered with AMURT Global and the NGO Lakshya to launch a comprehensive relief operation in the Saharsa district. The initiative aims to provide emergency assistance to 2,000 flood-affected families, delivering essential food supplies, hygiene products, and protective items.

AMURT Global, with its extensive local presence and experience in disaster management, played a key role in identifying the most vulnerable communities in need. Their team in Saharsa, which has been working in Bihar for several decades, ensured that the aid reached genuine beneficiaries, focusing on those most severely impacted by the floods. The organization has a long history of implementing both sustainable development projects and emergency relief efforts across the state.

The relief packages distributed to affected families included staple food items such as pulses, rice, mustard oil, poha, and jaggery. Additionally, crucial hygiene products like sanitary pads, mosquito repellents, soaps, and face masks were provided to safeguard the health of those in need.

Arunabh Kumar, the local coordinator for the initiative, explained the strategic approach taken to maximize the impact of the relief effort. “We worked closely with AMURT’s ground team to identify the hardest-hit areas and ensure aid reached the most vulnerable families as quickly as possible,” he said.

Chandan Singh, a representative from JAMIPOL’s CSR & Volunteering committee, highlighted the importance of collaboration in ensuring the success of the initiative. “This effort reflects our commitment to supporting communities during times of crisis,” he said. “By partnering with organizations like AMURT Global and Medanta Labs, we were able to distribute aid efficiently and effectively to those most in need.”
