CM Nitish Kumar Pays Tribute to Indira Gandhi and Sardar Patel at Commemorative Ceremony
Patna: A ceremony took place in Patna on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid homage by garlanding Indira Gandhi’s statue at IGIMS, marking his respects on this solemn occasion.
Following this, Nitish Kumar honoured Sardar Patel by garlanding his statue near the Chitkohra bridge. The Department of Information and Public Relations organised a series of activities, including Aarti Puja, Bhajan-Kirtan, and patriotic songs, celebrating the legacy of both national leaders.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Ashok Chaudhary, and Minister Maheshwar Hazari were also present at the event, joining in the tributes.
The event served as a reminder of the contributions of Indira Gandhi and Sardar Patel to India’s history, with leaders and attendees reflecting on their enduring legacy.
