Patna: Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited and its subsidiary companies organised a special programme on Hindi Diwas 2026, bringing together officers and employees to celebrate Hindi through speech and poetry.
An Extempore Speech Competition and a Self-Composed Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition were organised as part of the programme, with employees participating enthusiastically and showcasing their creativity.
Senior Energy Officials Attend Programme
Energy Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director Ajay Yadav (IAS) attended the programme along with Managing Director Rahul Kumar (IAS), Managing Director Dr Naval Kishore Chaudhary (IAS), Managing Director Saurabh Jorwal (IAS) and Managing Director Vishal Raj (IAS).
Ajay Yadav congratulated the winners of both competitions and extended his greetings to employees and officers on the occasions of Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ajay Yadav Stresses Simple Language for Consumer Communication
Yadav highlighted the importance of creativity in recognising individual capabilities and giving them new dimensions.
He also stressed the need for simple and accessible language in communication, particularly while conveying information and messages from the Energy Department to consumers.
According to the Energy Secretary, effective communication with consumers requires simple language, clarity and creative thinking.
Employees Showcase Hindi Skills and Creativity
Officers and employees from the Energy Family participated in both competitions with enthusiasm.
The programme provided participants with a platform to demonstrate their command of Hindi while expressing their creativity through impromptu speeches and original poetry.
A judging panel comprising Sanwar Bharti, General Manager (Public Relations/Administration); Jitesh Singh, General Manager (Public Relations/Administration); and Ravi Bhushan, General Manager (Public Relations/Administration) evaluated the competitions.

The Hindi Diwas programme combined language, creativity and workplace communication, while recognising employees who participated in the competitions.
The initiative also highlighted the role of clear and accessible Hindi in strengthening communication between the Energy Department and consumers.
