Bodh Gaya : IIM Bodh Gaya organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH), Gaya, on September 20.
The initiative was organised by the institute’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee, Pragati, with the aim of promoting voluntary blood donation and community welfare.
More than 150 students, faculty members and staff participated in the camp.
Eight-Member Medical Team Conducts Camp
An eight-member medical team from ANMMCH, Gaya, conducted the blood donation process with support from IIM Bodh Gaya’s healthcare centre, Dhanvantari.
The organisers arranged free health checks, medical assistance, refreshments and rest facilities for donors.
Blood donors were also provided with blood donation certificates by the blood bank.
Blood To Be Used For Medical Emergencies
The blood collected during the camp will be made available to the ANMMCH blood bank.
According to the organisers, the collected blood can support patients requiring transfusions during emergencies, accidents, surgeries and treatment for serious illnesses.
The initiative was also aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation among students and members of the wider community.
Experts Highlight Importance Of Voluntary Donation
Medical and academic representatives involved in the programme highlighted blood donation as an important form of community service that can help patients requiring urgent transfusions.
They encouraged young people to participate in voluntary blood donation and contribute to community welfare.
Organisers also thanked the students, faculty, staff and medical teams who contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.

Institutional representatives said initiatives of this nature help strengthen community participation and encourage students to take part in socially responsible activities.
