Patna: Anjani Nandan, proprietor of Nandan Automobiles Workshop, was critically injured after unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire on him in the Bhupatipur area under the Ramkrishna Nagar police station late Saturday night.
According to the information provided, Nandan had finished work at his workshop and was leaving for home when the attackers, who were allegedly waiting near the workshop, opened fire.
He was hit by three bullets and collapsed on the road. The assailants reportedly fled on a motorcycle after the shooting.
Police Rush Injured Man To Hospital
Police from Ramkrishna Nagar police station reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
With the help of local residents, Nandan was taken to a hospital in Kankarbagh for treatment. He remained in critical condition and was undergoing treatment.
Police also recovered three spent bullet casings from the scene.
The shooting drew a large crowd to the area, while Nandan’s family members also reached the spot.

CCTV Footage Under Examination
Police are examining CCTV footage from the location and surrounding areas to identify the attackers and establish the sequence of events.
Investigators are also questioning Nandan’s family members to gather information about a possible motive and identify any individuals who may have had a dispute with him.
His mobile phone is also being examined for possible clues related to the shooting.
Investigation Underway
The Ramkrishna Nagar SHO said Nandan has been admitted to hospital and is receiving treatment.
Police are collecting information about the attackers and investigating the circumstances and possible motive behind the shooting. The identities of the assailants and the reason for the attack have not yet been established.
