Patna: Electricity supply will be disrupted in more than 50 areas of the city on Tuesday, September 29, as Patna Electricity Supply Undertaking (PESU) carries out scheduled maintenance and other works.
The shutdowns will take place at different times depending on the feeder and affected locality. Residents have been advised to plan essential electrical work around the scheduled outage periods.
Morning Power Cuts
Power supply connected to the Veterinary Power Sub-station’s 11kV feeder will remain affected from 7am to 9am. The affected areas include Riding Road, Aranya Bhawan, BMP-5 and the KV Sheikhpura area.
The Sadaqat Ashram feeder will remain shut from 7.30am to 9am, affecting areas around Kurji Mor, Kothiya and Vikas Nagar, including Gates 62, 65, 72 and 73.
From 10am to noon, electricity supply will be disrupted in Shivpuri, Jagriti Path, Chitragupt Colony and Udan Tola. Bakarganj, Makhaniya Gali, Jamun Gali, Sabzibagh and Birla Mandir will also face outages during the same period.
Late-Morning Shutdowns
Power supply in Darji Tola, Patna Market and areas around Anjuman Islamia Hall will be affected from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
From 11am to 1pm, outages are scheduled in NBCC Tower, Kali Mandir Road, Deshratna Path, Loknayak Path, SBI Colony, Lalit Niketan and Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, including Road Nos. 1 to 10.
Shivchandra Path and the eastern section of Dwarikapuri Sector will also be affected during this period.
Afternoon Power Cuts
Electricity supply in Sachivalaya Colony and G-Block will be suspended from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
In Rajiv Nagar, Roads 23, 21 and 26 will face a power cut from noon to 1pm.
The areas around Vidhayak Ji Ka Gaon and Kothwa Bagicha will remain affected from 11am to 2pm. Kothwa Mor, Haridaspur, Abhimanyu Nagar, Kali Mandir, Railway Colony, Shivaji Nagar, Adampur, Vijay Yadav Path and Lekhnagar are also expected to face interruptions.
From 2pm to 4pm, power supply will be disrupted in RN Singh Road, Sabzi Mandi and Rajendra Nagar. Bahadurpur Housing Colony will also be affected during this period.
Residents Advised To Plan Accordingly
The outage timings vary across localities because of scheduled shutdowns on different PESU feeders.
Residents in the affected areas can plan essential household and commercial electrical activities around the announced timings and switch off sensitive appliances before the scheduled power cuts.
