Patna : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday launched the Sankalp dashboard and Samanvay portal in Patna to monitor the functioning of all 48 state government departments, track key projects and improve the implementation of public welfare schemes.
The two digital platforms aim to strengthen transparency and accountability in governance by bringing departmental activities onto a common platform. They will also help monitor funds received from the Union government, national rankings, project progress and the implementation of government schemes.
During the launch programme, Sanjay Kumar Singh, secretary at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, explained the platforms’ features and functioning through a presentation. He said the dashboard and portal had been developed on the Chief Minister’s initiative and under his directions.
Sankalp Dashboard Has Six Key Modules
The Sankalp dashboard has six major modules covering Chief Minister-level monitoring, projects and investment, departmental presentations, performance and rankings, coordination and escalation, and field activities and public outreach.
The platform also includes more than 20 sub-modules containing information on government schemes, projects and departmental work.
It will track action taken on directions issued by the Chief Minister during review meetings, government announcements, Cabinet decisions and important official correspondence. Information related to departmental presentations and briefings will also be available on the same platform.
The integrated system is intended to help officials monitor important matters within defined timelines and assess progress towards targets and outcomes.
Samanvay Portal To Improve Centre-State Coordination
The Samanvay portal will facilitate coordination between the Bihar government and the Union government, with a focus on monitoring schemes, improving transparency and resolving pending matters within stipulated timelines.
Choudhary said the portal would help ensure that centrally sponsored and other Union government schemes were implemented effectively in Bihar and that funds were utilised on time.
The Resident Commissioner in Delhi will coordinate matters through the platform. The system is also expected to improve monitoring of central fund releases, national rankings and issues requiring coordination between the two governments.
The Chief Minister said the Sankalp dashboard would enable integrated and time-bound monitoring of important matters concerning all state departments.
Patna’s 2,500 CCTV Cameras To Be Monitored Through The Platform
The Chief Minister also directed the Panchayati Raj Department and the Urban Development and Housing Department to install CCTV cameras in line with their targets and ensure integrated monitoring.
Patna currently has 2,500 CCTV cameras, whose monitoring will also be integrated through the new platform, according to Choudhary. He said more cameras needed to be installed in the city.
The move is intended to bring camera-monitoring information together within a coordinated system.
CM Calls For Timely Execution Of Government Schemes
Choudhary urged all departments to complete their work efficiently and within prescribed timelines. He said the administration’s priority should be to resolve public grievances and ensure that government schemes deliver their intended benefits.
He expressed confidence that the Sankalp dashboard and Samanvay portal would speed up administrative work, improve the resolution of public complaints and make governance more transparent.
The Chief Minister said effective implementation of government programmes and improved administrative functioning would support Bihar’s development.
