Patna: The Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDC) is fast-tracking three major infrastructure projects in Patna to ease traffic flow between the northern and southern districts, ensuring uninterrupted travel across the city.

One of the primary projects, Phase-1 of the Mithapur-Mahuli corridor, is progressing rapidly. During a recent site visit, BSRDC Managing Director Shirshat Kapil Ashok inspected the Bhupatipur ramp, which will feature a roundabout and a 600-meter ramp connected to a 400-meter, four-lane PQC road. This ramp will link to pillar number-10, creating a direct elevated route from Bhupatipur to Mahuli. Ashok instructed that the remaining work on this segment be completed by the second week of January, with a further 2.2 km of four-lane road from Mahuli to Punpun set to be finished by the end of January, ensuring a seamless route from Bhupatipur to Punpun.

Ashok also reviewed progress on the 2.914 km stretch from Nuruddin Ghat to Dharamshala Ghat, part of the J.P. Ganga Path Project, which aims to improve connectivity along the riverfront. This project is expected to enhance access and reduce congestion in the area.

Additionally, he inspected the construction of the Didarganj rail overpass from Gop Ghat on the old NH-30. Emphasising the importance of timely completion, Ashok directed that all projects be finished by the end of February, aiming to transform Patna’s infrastructure and improve traffic movement and commuter convenience.

These developments are part of BSRDC’s broader effort to modernise Patna’s road network, providing residents and visitors with faster, more efficient travel options throughout the city.
