Acharya Kishore Kunal’s Crucial Role in Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Case

Acharya Kishore Kunal

Patna: Acharya Kishore Kunal played a pivotal role in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. As the secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust, he tirelessly championed the cause, presenting crucial historical evidence in the legal battle that spanned years.

His scholarly contributions, including two monumental works – “Ayodhya Revisited” and “Ayodhya Beyond Evidenced Evidence” – totaling 1600 pages, provided invaluable insights into the historical context of the Ram Janmabhoomi.

These meticulously researched books served as compelling evidence before the Allahabad High Court and the Supreme Court. Notably, a map presented by Acharya Kunal during the Supreme Court hearings conclusively established the birthplace of Ram Lalla within the disputed structure, significantly influencing the court’s final verdict.

Following the Supreme Court’s landmark judgment in favor of Ram Janmabhoomi on November 9, 2019, Acharya Kunal made two significant announcements.

Firstly, he pledged a generous contribution of 10 crore rupees from the Mahavir Mandir Trust towards the temple’s construction.

Secondly, he announced the establishment of “Ram Rasoi,” a free kitchen for devotees at the Amawa Ram Mandir complex adjacent to the Ram Janmabhoomi site. Since its inception on December 1, 2019, Ram Rasoi has been providing free meals to thousands of pilgrims daily.

The Mahavir Mandir Trust continued its unwavering support, contributing 2 crore rupees annually towards the temple’s construction. The final installment of 2 crore rupees was made on January 19 this year.

Acharya Kishore Kunal, a key figure in this historic endeavor, was honored with a special invitation to the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla. He also serves as the secretary of the trust managing the Amawa Ram Mandir.
