ACS Dr. S Siddharth Conducts Surprise Roadside Inspection in Patna, Engages with Students
Patna: Dr. S Siddharth, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, continues to garner attention for his proactive inspection style. On Saturday morning, he conducted a surprise inspection on the streets of the capital, engaging directly with school students near Raj Bhavan.
In a video that has surfaced, ACS Siddharth can be seen approaching a group of girls traveling by e-rickshaw and inquiring about their school schedule. When asked what time their school starts, the students responded with “9:00 am.” After checking the time, Siddharth then inquired about the e-rickshaw driver, though the students did not recognize him or reveal his identity.
Just two days prior, ACS Dr. S Siddharth traveled in the sleeper class of a train to reach Bahiyara in Bhojpur. During this journey, he sought feedback from passengers on the state of the education system.
Following his interaction with the students in Patna, Siddharth searched for the e-rickshaw driver, who was initially absent. Upon the driver’s return, he recognized ACS Siddharth and greeted him. Siddharth then questioned the driver about his tardiness in getting the students to school.
Since assuming the role of Additional Chief Secretary of Education, IAS officer S Siddharth has been in the spotlight for his unconventional approach to inspections, reminiscent of his predecessor KK Pathak. However, unlike Pathak, Siddharth’s prominence stems from his hands-on and direct engagement with the public. He conducts surprise inspections not just in schools but also on the streets, actively seeking feedback from students about their education and school experience.
