Patna: The Bihar Business Connect 2023 witnessed a significant announcement on its second day as Adani Group Director, Pranav Adani, revealed plans to provide 10 thousand jobs in the state. The investment giant expressed intentions to inject Rs 8700 crore into Bihar’s economy, focusing on three key sectors.

Pranav Adani stated that the Adani Group is eyeing investments of Rs 1200 crore in the warehouse sector, with a substantial portion dedicated to constructing a major warehouse in Patna. This ambitious move is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for around 2 thousand people directly.

On the second day of the summit, a total of MoUs worth Rs 24 thousand crore were signed, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally endorsing agreements worth over Rs 18 thousand crore with five companies. The overall commitment from 302 companies reached a staggering Rs 50 thousand 530 crore, showcasing the state’s growing appeal to investors.

Adani Group Director Pranab Adani praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his innovative approach, especially highlighting the revolutionary ticket booking system introduced two decades ago. Adani acknowledged the forward-thinking initiatives of Nitish Kumar, noting the transformative impact on areas such as social reform, law and order, education, and women’s empowerment.

In particular, Adani Group Director Pranab Adani commended the development in Bihar, citing the progress witnessed in public service and schemes like the children’s bicycle and clothing initiative.

Expressing confidence in Bihar’s potential, Adani announced plans for a tenfold increase in investment, stating that the Adani Group is prepared to invest significantly more in the state. Adani Group is currently involved in Logistics Distribution Agri Logistics in Bihar, with an existing investment of approximately Rs 850 crore employing around 3000 people directly and indirectly.

The summit, attended by Industries Minister Sameer Mahaseth, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Sandeep Poundrik and other prominent industrialists, showcased Bihar as an attractive destination for investors. The participation of leading industries from both India and abroad highlighted the changing landscape of Bihar, earning recognition as a state on the rise in terms of growth and development.
