अक्षय तृतीय 2025: 10 Rare Mahayogs to Align After 17 Years, a महायोग Like Never Before

Patna : The festival of Akshaya Tritiya, a significant occasion in the Hindu calendar, will be celebrated across India tomorrow with great enthusiasm, particularly under the rare coincidence of Rohini Nakshatra and ten auspicious yogas—a convergence occurring after 17 years.

Widely regarded as a day of eternal prosperity, Akshaya Tritiya is traditionally marked by buying gold, donating essentials, and engaging in religious rituals believed to usher in good fortune. The alignment of Shobhan Yoga, Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga, and other planetary combinations is expected to magnify the day’s spiritual and material benefits.

Rare conjunction after 17 years

Local astrologer highlighted the exceptional planetary alignments accompanying this year’s festival. “This Akshaya Tritiya coincides with Rohini Nakshatra on a Wednesday, forming rare Mahayogas such as Parijata, Gajakesari, and Ubhayachari,” he explained. “These alignments are especially favourable for new ventures, major purchases, and auspicious beginnings.”

The festival provides an opportunity to invest in gold, silver, gemstones, property, and other assets, believed to bring eternal prosperity and divine grace. Traditional beliefs also equate gold with Surya Dev (Sun God), whose radiance is said to be at its peak during this period, further enhancing the day’s significance.

Worship and rituals for prosperity

The day is marked by the worship of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Goddess Gauri. Devotees are encouraged to use offerings such as lotus flowers, white flowers, lotus seeds, ghee lamps, and sweet dishes like kheer during the rituals. Recitations of Shri Sukta and Kanakdhara Stotra are believed to invoke divine blessings for wealth, well-being, and the fulfilment of desires.

“This is not just a day of shopping,” Pandit added, “but a powerful occasion to perform daan (charity), havan (sacred fire rituals), and acts of devotion, all of which are said to return multiplied blessings.”
