Amit Shah In Bihar: Core Committee Meeting In Patna Tonight, Major Rally In Gopalganj Tomorrow

Patna: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to embark on a two-day visit to Bihar from today, marking a crucial political and administrative engagement ahead of the state’s assembly elections. His itinerary includes high-level meetings with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the announcement of several initiatives aimed at bolstering the cooperative sector.

According to BJP’s Bihar unit president, Dilip Jaiswal, Shah will arrive at Patna airport at 7:45 pm in the evening before heading straight to the party headquarters. There, he will hold discussions with BJP MLAs and officials, followed by a late-night core committee meeting to deliberate on election strategies.

The visit takes on greater significance on Sunday, when Shah is scheduled to address a large gathering of the Cooperative Department in Patna. He will then travel to Gopalganj district for a rally, where he is expected to outline the BJP’s vision and roadmap for the upcoming elections, directly addressing party supporters and the public.

Later in the day, Shah will participate in a key NDA meeting at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence. The discussions, attended by leaders from BJP, JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and Hindustani Awam Morcha, are likely to focus on seat-sharing arrangements and strengthening the alliance ahead of the polls.

A major highlight of Shah’s visit will be his announcements for Bihar’s cooperative sector. At a programme at Bapu Auditorium in Patna, he is expected to introduce new initiatives benefiting 5,350 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Fishermen Cooperative Societies, Weavers’ Societies, 1,000 Milk Producers’ Societies, 300 Block Level Vegetable Producers’ Societies, and 300 Handloom Weavers’ Societies. Additionally, he will unveil plans for a Makhana Processing Centre, aimed at boosting local farmers and industries.

As the state gears up for elections, Shah’s visit underscores the BJP’s dual approach—strengthening grassroots economic initiatives while solidifying political alliances. With cooperative sector incentives and strategic discussions on the table, the impact of his Bihar tour on the state’s political landscape remains to be seen.
