Authorities Urged to Expedite Patna Metro Rail Project

Patna: The District Magistrate of Patna, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, has directed authorities to expedite the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Project. In a review meeting held at the Collectorate, the DM assessed the progress of various aspects of the project and provided necessary instructions to ensure timely completion.

The District Magistrate emphasized that the project is progressing well, with major obstacles already resolved. He acknowledged the vigilance of the Sub-Divisional Officer and Sub-Divisional Police Officer in addressing minor issues as they arise. He instructed the District Land Acquisition Officer to accelerate the process of compensating landowners to avoid delays.

The DM reviewed the status of land acquisition, transfer, and construction across several key locations, including Mithapur, Akashvani, Gandhi Maidan, and Patna University. He directed officials to ensure the removal of remaining structures that may hinder progress and to relocate any encroachments in accordance with standard procedures.

Dr. Singh reiterated the importance of keeping all stakeholders informed and ensuring public awareness regarding traffic diversions during construction. He expressed the district administration’s commitment to delivering enhanced public transport facilities through the Patna Metro Rail Project, which is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and ease the burden on existing infrastructure.
