Bahubali Leader Anant Singh Surrenders in Barh Court, Sent to Beur Jail
Patna: Former MLA and Bahubali leader Anant Singh has surrendered in Barh court in connection with the Mokama firing case. Following his surrender, he was sent to Beur jail. This comes after Sonu Singh of the Sonu-Monu gang surrendered at Pachmahal police station earlier in the day. The police also arrested another accused, Roshan, in the case.
The incident pertains to a violent exchange of gunfire between Anant Singh and the Sonu-Monu gang in Nauranga, during which 70 to 80 rounds were fired. Anant Singh narrowly escaped, though one of his supporters was injured by gunfire. Following the incident, the police registered three FIRs, one of which named Anant Singh.
According to SDPO Rakesh Kumar, Anant Singh had been absconding and surrendered in Barh court due to police raids. He arrived at the court with one supporter and was immediately taken into custody. The police have been actively investigating the case, and arrests of other accused have already been made.
