BAU Research Director Dr A.K. Singh Honoured as BASA Fellow for 2025

Sabour: Dr A.K. Singh, Director of Research at Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, has been selected as a Fellow of the Bihar Agricultural Science Academy (BASA) for 2025. The recognition comes in appreciation of his contributions to natural resource management, climate-resilient agriculture, resource conservation techniques, genetic resource management, and farming system innovations.

He was conferred with the fellowship during BASA’s 2nd Annual Day Celebration and General Body Meeting, held online on March 24.

Dr D.R. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of BAU, hailed the achievement, stating, “Dr Anil Kumar Singh’s commitment to agricultural research and innovation has significantly advanced sustainable farming practices. His recognition as a BASA Fellow is a testament to his invaluable contributions to natural resource management and climate-resilient agriculture. BAU is proud of his achievements, which continue to inspire the scientific community and benefit farmers across the country.”

With over 25 years of research experience, Dr Anil Singh has been instrumental in promoting sustainable agriculture, improving resource efficiency, and developing climate adaptation strategies. His work has also influenced policy-making and agricultural reforms, reinforcing his role as a key figure in the sector.
