Encounter in Bhojpur: Two Shooters Injured, Three Arrested in Chandan Mishra Murder Case

Ara: a significant development in the Chandan Mishra murder case, Bihar Police and STF were involved in an encounter with criminals in the Bihiya area of Bhojpur district early Tuesday morning. During the exchange of fire, two criminals sustained gunshot wounds and three others were arrested.
The injured individuals have been identified as Balwant Kumar (22), son of Jang Bahadur Singh, from Liladharpur Parsia, Buxar, and Ravi Ranjan Singh (20), son of Keshav Singh, from Chakarhi, Bihiya, Bhojpur.
The encounter took place near the river on the Bihiya-Kateya road at approximately 5:45 AM on Tuesday. Both injured criminals were immediately transported to Bihiya Hospital at 6:25 AM, from where they have been referred for advanced medical treatment. Ravi Ranjan sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh, while Balwant was shot in the hands and legs.
New Revelations in Chandan Mishra Murder
The arrests and encounter are shedding more light on the murder of gangster Chandan Mishra at Paras Hospital in Patna. Balwant Kumar’s name has prominently emerged in the investigation. According to sources, Balwant was present at Paras Hospital with the shooters and maintained continuous contact with Sheru Singh, the alleged mastermind currently lodged in Purulia jail, West Bengal.
Sources further suggest that Balwant was responsible for bringing five of the shooters who killed Chandan Mishra and provided them with 10 pistols. He reportedly acted entirely under Sheru Singh’s instructions, meticulously coordinating each step of the assassination.
Insider Involvement and Contract Details
The investigation indicates that some of Chandan Mishra’s close associates were also involved in the conspiracy, providing crucial inside information. Sources reveal that Sheru Singh had allegedly promised Rs 5 lakh to each of the shooters for carrying out the murder. Balwant, aware of Tausif alias Badshah’s detailed knowledge of Paras Hospital, included him in the plot.
Police teams are continuing their search for other criminals involved in this high-profile case, with several names already identified. Raids are ongoing to apprehend them. It has also been reported that Tausif, who fled after the murder, had shaved his beard to alter his appearance.
