Bhojpuri Film Delegation Meets Bihar Deputy CM, Hails New Film Policy

Patna: A delegation from the Bhojpuri film industry, led by producer Sanjay Pandey, met Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Monday to discuss the state’s newly implemented film policy. The team of Bhojpuri artists congratulated the deputy CM on the initiative and expressed appreciation for the government’s efforts to boost film production in Bihar.

The deputy CM encouraged filmmakers to take advantage of the policy, stating that Bihar now offers significant opportunities for shooting and producing films. “We want films to be shot in Bihar’s beautiful locations. The government is committed to providing all possible support to filmmakers. The growth of the film industry will not only promote art and culture but also create new opportunities for tourism and employment in the state,” he said.

During the meeting, Sanjay Pandey announced the successful completion of three Bhojpuri films—Naari, Ghar Ka Bantwara, and Pati Ka Pyar, Saas Ki Dular—which were shot in Bihar. He highlighted the state’s potential as a filming destination and said the new policy would further boost production.

Prominent Bhojpuri film personalities, including actors Gaurav Jha, Sanjana Pandey, Rohit Singh Matru, and Subodh Seth, were present at the meeting. The delegation welcomed the government’s initiative and expressed optimism that the policy would elevate Bhojpuri cinema to new heights.
