Bihar Bandh: Pappu Yadav Claims Statewide Shutdown Successful

Patna: Under the leadership of Purnia MP Pappu Yadav, the Chhatra Yuva Shakti Sangathan enforced a statewide bandh across Bihar. Supporters led by Premchand Singh blocked Boring Road, while Ashok Raj Path was shut down under the leadership of Rajesh Pappu. Similarly, Rajendra Nagar and Kankarbagh were closed under the guidance of Raju Danveer and other members of the Chhatra Yuva Sangathan. During the protests, several leaders, including Premchand Singh, Rajesh Pappu, Manish Kumar, Awadhesh Lalu, Azad Chand, Faizan Ahmed, Nitish Singh, Amarnath, Ajmal, and Shantanu Shekhar, were detained by the police and taken to Kotwali police station.

MP Pappu Yadav led the demonstration in Patna, marching with thousands of supporters while symbolically wearing a shroud. Addressing the crowd, he criticized the state government, accusing it of failing the youth and students of Bihar. Yadav stated, “The people troubled by the Nitish government have declared the government as Ram Naam Satya Hai.” He called for the downfall of the government, asserting that the students and youth of Bihar would end its tenure due to repeated failures such as the recent question paper leak.

He vowed to continue the fight against the education mafia and those involved in the paper leaks, stating that the movement would persist until stringent actions were taken. Yadav added, “I will not let the Parliament function if no action is taken. The careers of our children are at stake, and the people of Bihar will not remain silent.”

The bandh was supported by numerous activists and leaders, including Raghavendra Kushwaha, Abhijeet Singh, Manjay Lal Rai, Harendra Mishra, Rajiv Mishra, Dilip Rajak, Shashank Kumar Monu, Purushottam Singh, Tinku Yadav, Satyendra Paswan, Kamlesh Singh, Javed Iqbal, Shani, Ravi, Shudhanshu Rathore, Vinay, Prem Kumar, Vicky, and many others. According to Premchand Singh, the bandh was a strong message to the government to hold a re-examination and address the grievances of the students. Rajesh Pappu emphasized that the Bihar government was playing with the future of the youth, warning of intensified protests if corrective measures were not taken.
