Bihar Board Class 11 Admissions Begin for 2025–26 Through Mandatory OFSS Application

Patna: The Bihar Education Department has issued an important directive regarding the admission process for students who passed the Class 10 annual examination in 2025. For the academic session 2025–26, all students seeking admission to Class 11 must apply through the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS).

According to the notification, it is mandatory for students to apply via OFSS, which will facilitate school allocation based on the state government’s policy. The department mentioned that higher secondary schools have been established across all panchayats, with teachers appointed under recommendations from the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

The department also noted that although the Class 10 results were released in March 2025, the Class 11 admission process has yet to commence, causing disruptions in teaching at several schools.

To address this, the Education Department has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to take specific measures. These include ensuring the prompt submission of student applications through the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS), permitting admissions only in schools where teachers are available, and allocating students in accordance with regulations if they apply to institutions other than those initially suggested. Additionally, in cases where necessary documents are missing, DEOs have been instructed to provisionally confirm admissions.

The department emphasised that all admissions must be completed in a timely and organised manner to prevent any hindrance to the academic schedule.
