Bihar Business Connect 2023 Global Investors Summit Set to Propel Industrial Development
Patna: The bustling city of Patna is gearing up for the Bihar Business Connect 2023 Global Investors Summit, scheduled to unfold at Gyan Bhawan on December 13 and 14. With representatives hailing from over 22 countries, this summit marks a significant milestone in Bihar’s efforts to foster industrial growth. Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani affirmed the state’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for industrial development, surpassing the achievements of previous Global Summit Investors Meets.
The Industries Department’s Additional Chief Secretary highlighted the proactive measures taken to boost industry in Bihar, citing multiple investor summits held across the country in the last six months. The two-day summit, set to be presided over by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, aims to enlighten industrialists and investors about the existing and potential industries surrounding Patna. A series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) is expected to be signed under the Chief Minister’s guidance, signaling a new era of collaboration.
On December 14, individual meetings with industrialists are scheduled, providing a platform for direct engagement and discussions. Responding to queries about company participation, Chief Secretary Subhani disclosed that several prominent IT companies are poised to participate actively in the summit.
Foreign representation is robust, with 76 delegates from 16 countries confirming their attendance. The state, boasting a market worth Rs 35,000 to 40,000 crores, showcases substantial advancements in the infrastructure sector and a skilled workforce. The summit is anticipated to witness the signing of MoUs in multiple phases, with commitments exceeding Rs 500 crore and an overall cumulative value exceeding Rs 30,000 crores. The Bihar Business Connect 2023 Global Investors Summit stands as a testament to the state’s dedication to fostering economic growth and attracting substantial investments.
