Patna: In a spirited celebration of International Yoga Day, the Bihar Lalit Kala Academy in Patna hosted a morning yoga session under the joint aegis of the state’s Department of Art, Culture and Youth. The event brought together officials, staff, and yoga enthusiasts in a communal display of wellness and mindfulness.
Held at the Kaladirgha hall on Fraser Road, the session was led by yoga trainers Khushi Priya and Anuradha Kumari, who guided participants through a sequence of asanas, pranayama, and meditation. The instructors also emphasised the holistic benefits of yoga, highlighting its role in fostering physical resilience, mental clarity and emotional stability.
Addressing the gathering, Ruby, Director of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, called yoga a “balancing force” in modern life. “In an age defined by stress and anxiety, yoga is more than a health routine, it’s a philosophy of living with purpose and peace,” she said.
Participants donned uniform white T-shirts provided by the department and concluded the session with a collective pledge to adopt yoga as a regular practice. The event saw the presence of Deputy Secretary Anil Kumar Sinha, Special Officer Kahkashan, and Sushant Kumar, Secretary of the Bihar Lalit Kala Academy, among other officials.
