Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inspects J.P. Ganga Path Bridge Construction in Patna, Calls for Expedited Work

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday inspected the under-construction bridge from Kangan Ghat to Didarganj under the J.P. Ganga Path Project, commonly known as Ganga Driveway, and directed officials to ensure its speedy completion. Officials briefed CM Nitisg on the progress, stating that construction is advancing rapidly and is expected to be completed by March 31.
During the inspection, officials also provided updates on the proposed Patna Sahib-Patna Ghat Path, which will be developed on land to be transferred from the Railways under the J.P. Ganga Path Project. Additionally, CM Nitish was briefed on the widening and strengthening of the Didarganj-Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama route.
The chief minister emphasized that completing the project up to Didarganj will significantly reduce travel time to Bihar Sharif, Mokama, and Begusarai. “The J.P. Ganga Path Project is unique in itself. It will enhance traffic speed and convenience for commuters within and outside Patna,” he said.
Senior officials present during the inspection included Principal Secretary to CM, Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department Mihir Kumar Singh, and Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, among others.
