Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inspects MLA and MLC Housing Complex, Calls for Fast-Tracking Completion

Patna : Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the newly constructed housing complex for Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) in Patna today, directing officials to expedite the completion of the remaining construction work.
The complex includes 75 flats for MLCs, all of which have been allotted, and 246 flats for MLAs, with 88 already occupied. Building Construction Department Secretary Kumar Ravi briefed the Chief Minister, stating that the remaining 158 flats are expected to be ready within the next two months. Facilities such as a canteen, community hall, and guest house are also under construction to enhance the complex’s amenities.
During the inspection, CM Nitish toured various sections of the newly built MLA flats and reviewed progress on the remaining facilities. He emphasised the need to maintain internal pathways in good condition, ensure cleanliness, and plant trees to create a green environment within the premises. He directed officials to complete all remaining work swiftly, highlighting the importance of providing quality residential facilities to the legislators.
Senior officials, including Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj and Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, accompanied the Chief Minister during the inspection.
