
Bhagalpur/ Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the Sandis Compound Indoor Stadium in Bhagalpur to review ongoing preparations and events under the Khelo India Youth Games 2025. The visit included interactions with athletes and an encouraging message to the young sportspersons competing from across the country.
During his inspection, the Chief Minister watched a women’s singles badminton match between Delhi and Chhattisgarh, taking place at the indoor stadium. He greeted the players and the audience with a wave, receiving warm applause in return.
District Magistrate Dr Naval Kishore Choudhary welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a plant and a memento. The CM was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and a host of local MPs and MLAs.
Also present at the event were senior officials including Principal Secretary to the CM Deepak Kumar, Sports Department Additional Chief Secretary Dr B. Rajendra, and Bhagalpur Division Commissioner Dinesh Kumar. The visit underscored the state’s commitment to promoting sports and nurturing young talent in Bihar and beyond.
