Bihar Cricket Association Honours Madhya Pradesh Team and Officials After Ranji Trophy Match
Patna: Following the conclusion of the Ranji Trophy match between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) organised a felicitation ceremony to honour the Madhya Pradesh team and officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The event, held at a five-star hotel in Patna, celebrated the visiting team’s efforts and fostered goodwill between the two cricketing bodies.
Chandrakant Pandit, the Director of Cricket and coach for the Madhya Pradesh team, expressed his gratitude, calling the tour a “memorable” experience, especially in terms of hospitality and arrangements. Speaking at the ceremony, Pandit, a former international player and successful coach, praised the BCA’s progress under its president, Rakesh Kumar Tiwari. “Bihar Cricket Association is moving towards development, and we wish a bright future for Bihar’s cricketers,” Pandit said.
The event was attended by key BCA officials, including Secretary Ziaul Arfin, CEO Manish Raj, and General Manager for Anti-Corruption Ajit Pandey. Media Manager Santosh Jha conducted the ceremony, while Rupak Kumar, BCA’s appointed liaison officer for Madhya Pradesh, provided support throughout the event.
The Madhya Pradesh team, led by captain Shubham Sharma, included players Kulwant Khijroliya, Sagar Solanki, Rajat Patidar, Harsh Gawli, Harpreet Singh, Saransh Jain, Kumar Karthikeya, Yash Dubey, Himanshu Mantri, Arshad Khan, Shubhanshu Senapati, Anubhav Agrawal, Venkatesh Iyer, and Aryan Pandey. The support staff comprised physio Abhijeet Sayal, trainer Mayank Agrawal, and manager Rohan Punekar. BCCI officials present at the event included match referee Sanjay Raul, umpires K R Vasuki and Rohan Ingavale, senior video analyst Sanjay Kumar, video analyst A K Chandan, and scorer Anshu Kiran.
