Bihar Diwas 2025: Laser Shows, Cultural Performances, Food Fair, and Exhibitions to Mark Grand Celebrations in Patna

Patna: Bihar is set to celebrate Bihar Diwas 2025 with grandeur, featuring a range of cultural and developmental programs across all districts. Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth, announced on Monday that the government has prepared an extensive action plan for the celebrations, urging residents to participate with enthusiasm.
At a meeting held at Patna Collectorate, officials discussed preparations for the three-day celebrations, scheduled from March 22 to 24, with exhibitions extending until March 26. This year’s theme, “Unnat Bihar-Viksit Bihar” (Advanced Bihar-Developed Bihar), will focus on showcasing the state’s progress and public welfare initiatives.
The District Magistrate of Patna, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, welcomed Dr. Siddharth, highlighting that his guidance had infused fresh energy into the planning process. Patna Divisional Commissioner Mayank Warwade also attended the meeting, with officials pledging to ensure seamless execution. The Patna district administration has formed eight dedicated teams, with Deputy Development Commissioner as the senior nodal officer, to oversee preparations.
Major Events And Attractions
The Bihar Diwas celebrations will take place at Gandhi Maidan, Shri Krishna Memorial Hall, and Ravindra Bhawan. The event will feature:
- Laser shows showcasing Bihar’s heritage and development.
- Cultural performances by renowned artists.
- A food fair featuring authentic Bihari cuisine.
- Exhibitions by various government departments.
- Live webcasting of the main events.
Security And Infrastructure Arrangements
Authorities have put in place comprehensive measures to ensure smooth execution:
- Traffic management: The Superintendent of Police (Traffic) will oversee arrangements to prevent congestion.
- Cleanliness: The Municipal Commissioner has been directed to ensure extensive sanitation, with Gandhi Maidan divided into zones for better maintenance.
- Medical support: The Civil Surgeon will deploy medical teams, ambulances, and life-saving medicines.
- Uninterrupted power supply: The General Manager of PESU will ensure continuous electricity, while the District Education Officer will arrange temporary connections where needed.
- Water and sanitation: The PHED will provide drinking water facilities and toilets across the venues.
- Fire safety: The District Fire Officer will oversee firefighting arrangements.
Ensuring Public Safety
The district administration is taking extensive security measures, including:
- Deployment of magistrates and police officers.
- Setting up CCTV surveillance to monitor crowds.
- Establishment of a control room and temporary police station at the venue.
- Setting up a help desk for public assistance.
- Fogging and spraying to ensure a hygienic environment.
Dr. Siddharth called for maximum public participation, encouraging students, teachers, professors, artists, and professionals to take part in the festivities.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar, Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Civil Surgeon, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order), Additional Municipal Commissioner, and other senior officials.
