Bihar Diwas Celebrated in Gurugram, Minister Sunil Kumar Highlights State’s Development

Gurugram/Patna: A grand “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Sneh Milan Program” was organized at the Gurukamal BJP office in Gurugram, Haryana, on the occasion of Bihar Diwas 2025. Bihar’s Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister, Dr. Sunil Kumar, attended the event as the chief guest and addressed a large gathering, highlighting Bihar’s progress and achievements under the NDA government.
Dr. Kumar stated that since 2005, Bihar has embarked on a new path of development, leaving behind an era of crime, anarchy, and backwardness. He asserted that Bihar is no longer a “sick state” but has become the fastest-developing state in the country, boasting an economic growth rate of 12%, the highest in India. He emphasized the state’s improved road infrastructure, connectivity, and healthcare, noting that Bihar is the first state to have two AIIMS, and a 5,300-bed hospital is under construction at PMCH, Patna.
He also announced that flight services will soon begin from Bihta, Rajgir, and Purnia airports, in addition to existing services from Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga. Encouraging migrant Biharis in Delhi, Mumbai, and abroad to contribute to the state’s development, he urged them to visit Bihar during festivals like Dussehra and Chhath to actively participate in its progress.
Dr. Kumar emphasized that development is a continuous journey requiring collective effort. He called upon everyone to unite in maintaining Bihar’s pride and growth, stating that the state is now known not just for its historical legacy but also for its present achievements and future aspirations. A large number of migrant Biharis attended the event and pledged their commitment to Bihar’s progress.
