Bihar Diwas to Mark the Launch of 15 Industrial Units, Creating 5,500 Jobs
Patna: In a major boost to Bihar’s industrial development, 15 new industrial units will commence operations on Bihar Diwas, March 22. These units are expected to generate direct employment for 5,500 people across various sectors.
Industry Minister Nitish Mishra highlighted the growing investor confidence in Bihar, stating: “A favorable environment has been created for investors in Bihar. As a result, industrialists are showing keen interest in setting up their units here. The launch of these 15 new units will generate employment and contribute to Bihar’s industrial growth.”
According to the Industry Department, necessary approvals, including the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for construction, have been granted. The infrastructure, including land acquisition, power supply, and road connectivity, is nearly complete, and machinery installation is in progress.
These 15 industrial units will focus on daily-use products, including biscuits, bakery items, furniture, leather goods, plastics, and textiles. In addition, small-scale industries will be set up to promote local employment opportunities.
The Industry Department is actively reaching out to industrialists from Gujarat, Delhi, Mumbai, and Haryana, promoting Bihar as an investment-friendly state. Investors are being briefed about the business-friendly policies, export opportunities to Nepal and Bhutan, and single-window clearance benefits to facilitate smooth industrial operations.
The department’s primary goal is to provide employment to Bihar’s migrant workforce in their home districts, thereby improving the state’s economic condition.
