Bihar Election Counting: LJP (R) Leading on All 5 Seats; Pawan Singh from Karakat and Lalu’s Daughter Rohini Trailing from Saran
Patna: Counting is underway for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Early trends show Giriraj Singh leading in Begusarai and JDU’s Santosh Kushwaha ahead in Purnia. Misa Bharti is also leading from Pataliputra.
In Gaya, Jitan Ram Manjhi has taken an early lead, while in Karakat, CPI(ML)’s Rajaram Singh is ahead, leaving Pawan Singh trailing. Dulal Chand Goswami is leading in Katihar.
RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha is leading in Aurangabad, and Siwan witnesses a close contest between Hina Shahab and the JDU candidate.
The first results are expected from Shivhar, Kishanganj, East Champaran, and Pataliputra, with Patna Sahib, Nawada, and Gopalganj likely to declare their results last.
Even before the final results, BJP workers are conducting havans in various temples across Patna, hoping to secure more than 400 seats. Sweet shops are bustling with preparations for laddus in anticipation of celebrations.
In Munger, JDU candidate Lallan Singh is leading by 31,004 votes, having received 134,192 votes compared to RJD candidate Kumari Anita’s 103,188 votes.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy is ahead by 900 votes in Saran, competing against Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya.
In Purnia, independent candidate Pappu Yadav is leading by 1,110 votes, with 24,693 votes. Santosh Kushwaha has received 23,583 votes, and Bima Bharti has garnered 907 votes.
