Patna: The counting of votes for the two Lok Sabha seats in Patna, Patna Sahib, and Pataliputra, commenced at 8 am today at AN College. The process involves 32 rounds of counting for Patna Sahib and 23 rounds for Pataliputra.
In Patna Sahib, the contest is between BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad and Congress’s Anshul Avijit. Meanwhile, BJP’s Ramkripal Yadav and RJD’s Misa Bharti are vying for the Pataliputra seat.
According to the latest updates from the Election Commission’s website, BJP candidate Ravi Shankar Prasad is currently leading by 1,322 votes, having secured 8,100 votes so far. Congress candidate Anshul Avijit remains in contention with 6,778 votes.
Misa Bharti is leading from Pataliputra. Misa Bharti has got 5080 votes, while Ramkripal Yadav has got 1460 votes.
