BHAGALPUR – As the New Year approaches, Bhagalpur in Bihar is set to receive a significant gift in the form of four new hospitals in the Silk City, with one already fully operational. The remaining three hospitals are rapidly under construction, aiming to bring modern medical facilities to the residents of Bhagalpur and the surrounding districts.

These four hospitals, with a combined cost of Rs 200 crore, are designed to offer advanced medical care to the local residents. The fully constructed hospital, equipped with specialties like Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, and a modern trauma ward, seeks to eliminate the need for patients to travel outside the region for specialized treatment.

Additionally, the hospital will provide services such as MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, and pathological tests. The new facility aims to enhance patient care by consolidating diagnosis, treatment, surgery, medication, and X-ray services under one roof.

The existing hospital is undergoing rapid construction, and upon completion, it will move to a new building, reducing the inconvenience for patients moving between different locations for various services.

Two fabricated hospitals are also under construction at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, with the goal of increasing the bed capacity to a thousand. This initiative is expected to significantly improve healthcare facilities in the region.

Furthermore, five health centers are planned in each legislative assembly area of the district, focusing on providing treatment for common illnesses and vaccination services. This decentralized approach aims to reduce the necessity for residents to visit larger hospitals for minor health concerns.

Overall, these developments signal a promising outlook for healthcare in Bhagalpur in the coming year.
