Bihar – Girl Succumbs to Injuries Sustained During Escape Attempt from Shelter Home in Chhapra
CHHAPRA – In an incident stemming from the escape of four girls from the Government Girls Home in Sadha Mohalla, Chhapra, on Tuesday night, one girl died during treatment at PMCH. The escape occurred around 2 a.m., involving the breaking of a window grill, leading to serious injuries for one girl.
Responding to the incident, the girls’ home staff quickly sent the injured girl to Chhapra Sadar Hospital, where she received initial treatment before being referred to PMCH. Unfortunately, she passed away on Thursday evening.
Chhapra CWC Chairperson Kumari Anupama confirmed the girl’s death, and the police have initiated an investigation.
Of the three girls who initially escaped, two have been recovered. Efforts are underway to locate a girl from Siwan, with authorities registering a case at the Mufassil police station.
