Bihar has approved a new Youth Commission to help young people become skilled, self-reliant, and get better job opportunities

Patna: The Bihar government has approved the creation of a Youth Commission to help young people become skilled, efficient, and self-dependent. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday, where a total of 43 proposals were approved.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the decision on social media, saying the commission will work to make the youth of Bihar strong and capable. He said it will provide them with better training and employment opportunities so that they can build their future with confidence.

The Youth Commission will also advise the government on how to improve the lives of young people in the state. It will coordinate with different departments to ensure good education and jobs. The commission will also make sure that local youths get priority in private sector jobs within Bihar. It will protect the interests of those who study or work outside the state as well.

According to officials, the commission will have a chairman, two vice-presidents, and seven members. The maximum age for these posts will be 45 years. The commission will also prepare programmes to prevent alcohol and drug abuse among youth and give suggestions to help unemployed youth and students from weaker economic backgrounds. The government hopes this step will make the youth of Bihar self-reliant and ready for the future.
