Bihar Governor Slams Education Department Officials Over Mass Expulsion of School Students
Patna: Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Saturday voiced his reservations about the state’s education system during an international seminar on mathematics hosted at Nalanda Open University.
In a candid address at the open forum, he questioned the actions of senior officials in Bihar’s education department, who have reportedly expelled a significant number of students from schools within a month.
Arlekar lamented that these officials appeared to be boasting about the mass removal of students, but he found it to be a source of great shame. The Governor called upon the education department to assume responsibility for the declining school attendance and seek solutions to address the issue. Notably, he refrained from naming any specific department officers during his remarks.
The event witnessed the presence of Professor RK Aggarwal, Advisor to the Education Department of the Bihar Government.
