Bihar Labour Department Releases ‘Shram Saar-Sangrah’ to Safeguard Workers’ Rights

Patna : In a significant step towards advancing labour welfare, the Bihar government today released Shram Saar-Sangrah, a comprehensive compilation of departmental Acts, manuals, and notifications aimed at safeguarding the rights of workers in the state. The book was unveiled by the Minister of Labour Resources, Santosh Kumar Singh, at an event held at Pratibimb Auditorium, Niyojan Bhawan.
Several senior officials, including Department Secretary Deepak Anand, Special Secretary Alok Kumar, and Labour Commissioner Rajesh Bharti, attended the event.
Speaking at the launch, Santosh Singh described the release of Shram Saar-Sangrah as a matter of pride, emphasising that the book’s objective is to consolidate essential information about labour laws and schemes implemented by the department. “This publication will play a vital role in protecting the interests of workers by highlighting key provisions of various Acts and the rights they guarantee,” he said.
Secretary Deepak Anand noted that this is the first edition of Shram Saar-Sangrah, with plans to expand future editions by incorporating additional rules, circulars, and other relevant updates. He expressed confidence that the publication would serve as a vital resource, ensuring that decisions taken by the state government reach workers, departmental officials, and stakeholders efficiently.
Labour Commissioner Rajesh Bharti echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the book would be immensely useful for workers, trade unions, and other stakeholders, while reflecting the government’s commitment to improving labour welfare in Bihar.
