Bihar: Mischievous Act Causes Panic at High School, Firecrackers Burst in Principal’s Room

Patna District Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Firecracker Trade Ahead of Diwali

BHAGALPUR – Tilakpur High School in Sultanganj block witnessed a disturbing incident as mischievous elements ignited three firecrackers at an interval of 10 minutes within the principal’s room and school grounds. The sudden loud noises created panic among teachers and students present in the school, prompting an immediate evacuation of classrooms.

The incident occurred during the first bell, with the principal’s room filled with smoke after the firecrackers were ignited. The teachers and principal hurriedly exited the room, while startled students abandoned their classes. School management committee member Bal Govind Singh was informed about the incident by Principal Sanjeev Kumar.

Expressing dismay, Singh described the incident as shameful and unfortunate, emphasizing the sacred nature of educational institutions. He announced that a decision regarding the incident would be made after a meeting with parents to address the concerns and implications of such actions.

Singh added that efforts are underway to identify the mischievous child responsible for the act. Once located, the child’s guardian will be informed, and appropriate actions will be taken in response to the incident.

School Principal Sanjeev Kumar acknowledged the unfortunate nature of the incident and assured that the management committee members have been alerted to prevent a recurrence. The committee will deliberate on the matter, and appropriate actions will be taken based on their decision.
