Bodh Gaya: A delegation comprising naval officers from 40 countries recently visited Bodh Gaya in Bihar amidst their participation in a collective military exercise with India in Visakhapatnam. The delegation conveyed a message of peace and knowledge to the world during their visit.

On Friday, 200 naval officers from these countries gathered at the revered Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya to pay homage to Lord Buddha and express their wishes for global peace. Following their visit to the temple, the delegation proceeded to the ongoing military exercise MILAN-24 in Visakhapatnam.

The guest register at the Mahabodhi Temple resonated with unanimous praise for the site, acknowledging it not only as a testament to India’s rich cultural heritage but also as a symbol of peace and knowledge that transcends borders and cultures.

Reflecting on their experience, the visiting naval officers expressed profound gratitude for the enlightening visit to Bodh Gaya, emphasizing its role in fostering cultural exchange and understanding among nations participating in the collective military exercises. The delegation comprised naval officers from a diverse array of countries including America, Japan, Australia, France, Bangladesh, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, among others. These military representatives had convened in India to partake in the nine-day MILAN-24 military exercise in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, which boasts participation from navies of 51 countries in total.
