Bihar Police Launches Special Phone Number To Report About Serious Criminals
PATNA – Bihar Police Headquarters ADG Jitendra Singh Gangwar stated that the short code 14432 will be active 24/7 throughout the week. This code allows people to provide information about serious crimes or criminals such as counterfeit currency or drug trafficking.
The informant can also opt to receive rewards by providing their mobile number. The number ‘14432’ is designated for sharing information on serious crimes and the informant’s identity will be kept confidential. If the information leads to successful police action the informant may receive a reward. This service has been operational since Monday and ADG Gangwar emphasized its continuous availability
.They mentioned that the informant’s name will be kept confidential. The purpose of releasing the new number is to take strict action against serious criminals with the help of the public.
ADG Gangwar stated that information received at the short code 14432 will be verified and acted upon. A special team under the Special Task Force (STF) has been formed to monitor information received via phone.
The information mentions that the emergency number 112 is operational for emergency services and other numbers such as 1930 for cybercrime-related services and 15545 for information on alcohol prohibition can also be used. The authorities clarify that disputes fights or other non-emergency incidents should not be reported on 112.
