Bihar Teachers Given Final Chance to Withdraw Transfer Applications as E-Shiksha Kosh Portal Reopens

Teachers in Bihar who applied for voluntary transfers now have until June 15 to withdraw their applications via the reopened E-Shiksha Kosh portal.

Patna: The Bihar Education Department has reopened the E-Shiksha Kosh portal, offering approximately 1,90,000 teachers across the state a last opportunity to withdraw their voluntary transfer applications. The process commenced at 6.30 pm on Tuesday following a successful portal trial. Full access for all eligible teachers began on Wednesday.

Teachers who wish to cancel their transfer request can now log in to the portal using their ID and password. The withdrawal process requires selecting ‘Request for Transfer on Special Ground’, navigating to the ‘Transfer Application Form’, and then clicking ‘Withdraw Your Application’.

This facility is also extended to those teachers who have already been allotted districts and even schools by the District Education Officer (DEO). Upon successful withdrawal, the teacher’s name will be removed from the allocated school on the portal, and the position will be marked vacant.

Teachers who opt out of the transfer will remain posted at their current schools. However, those who do not withdraw by the deadline will be assigned schools by their respective DEOs by June 15. They will receive official allocation letters by June 20 and are expected to join their new postings between June 23 and June 30.
