Bihar To See 3°C Rise In Temperature Over 4 Days; Cold To Return With Rain From February 8

Patna: Temperatures across Bihar, including Patna, have begun to rise with the arrival of Vasant Panchami. Over the next four days, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, though a drop is anticipated once a new weather system sets in. On Monday, the minimum temperature in 35 districts, including Patna, remained above 10 degrees Celsius.

According to the Patna Science Centre, a western disturbance entered the region on 3 February, though its impact has been minimal. However, a stronger western disturbance is expected on 8 February, bringing snowfall in mountainous areas and rainfall in the plains. The westerly winds accompanying this system will likely cause a dip in minimum temperatures, though extreme cold conditions are not expected.

Patna will see normal weather conditions today, with light fog in the morning and clear skies as the day progresses. A reduction in wind speed means there will be little sensation of cold. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will hover between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Over the past 24 hours, Buxar recorded the highest temperature at 28.9 degrees Celsius, while Samastipur was the coldest district, with the minimum temperature dipping to 9.5 degrees Celsius.
