Bihar’s Anamika Sharma Sets World Record with Maha Kumbh Flag in Bangkok
Jehanabad: Anamika Sharma, a resident of Jehanabad, Bihar, has set a new world record by skydiving from a height of 13,000 feet in Bangkok while carrying the flag of the Maha Kumbh. This daring feat saw Anamika spread the message of “Divya Kumbh Bhavya Kumbh” to the world.
Anamika, the daughter of an Air Force retiree, has been praised extensively on social media for her achievement. She began her skydiving journey at the age of 10 under the guidance of her father. With over 300 skydives to her credit, Anamika is recognized as one of the youngest skydivers globally.
Anamika has previously achieved several world records, including a wingsuit radio jump in 2023 and a wingsuit swing jump in 2022, both performed at an altitude of 14,000 feet. In 2024, she set another record by hoisting the flag of the Shri Ram Temple during the Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
Anamika’s exceptional skills and courage were on full display in 2023 when she successfully performed a radio skydiving jump from a TAC-750 aircraft, a feat previously unattempted by any Indian woman skydiver. This involved jumping from 13,000 feet, passing the wingsuit pilot at 6,000 feet, opening the parachute at 4,000 feet, and executing a safe landing.
Anamika’s achievements have brought immense pride to her family, village, and the entire state of Bihar.
