Bihar’s Energy Department Stall Attracts Huge Crowd at Bihar Diwas

Patna: The Energy Department’s stall at the Bihar Diwas celebrations in Gandhi Maidan saw an overwhelming response from visitors. The stall showcased Bihar’s remarkable progress in the power sector since 2005 in an engaging and informative manner. People, including a large number of farmers, were particularly keen to learn about the Chief Minister Krishi Vidyut Yojana and the process of availing its benefits. To assist visitors, department officials and employees were stationed in different shifts, ensuring accurate information was provided.
The Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Scheme also generated significant interest. Many visitors interacted with officials to understand the scheme’s details, including installation costs, required documents, and the application process. Most queries revolved around the financial aspects, such as the time required to recover installation costs and the annual savings and profits from solar energy.
A key highlight of the stall was a large LED screen installed nearby, displaying information on Bihar’s power sector achievements and various government schemes. The continuous screening of updates kept visitors engaged, making them aware of the state’s initiatives in the energy sector.
