Bihar's Youth Delegation Departs for National Youth Festival in Delhi

Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Art, Culture, and Youth, Vijay Kumar Sinha, sent off a group of young participants to Delhi for the 28th National Youth Festival-2025. At Rajendra Nagar Terminal, he congratulated the participants and encouraged them, expressing confidence that they would excel and make Bihar proud on the national stage.

Earlier in the day, the Secretary of the Art, Culture, and Youth Department, Dayanidhan Pandey, flagged off the group from Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir. He urged the participants to give their best and reminded them that their performance would reflect not only on themselves but also on the department and the entire state. Officials including Ruby, Director of Cultural Affairs, and Deputy Secretary Anil Kumar Sinha, were also present to motivate the group.

The 28th National Youth Festival-2025 is scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on January 11 and 12. A total of 63 participants, including 30 winners from the state-level youth festival held in Lakhisarai in December 2024, will represent Bihar in the event. These participants were selected after rigorous district and state-level competitions involving 19 disciplines and over 1,400 participants.

Additionally, 33 participants will take part in the ‘Developed India Vision Competition’ at the festival, where they will present their ideas before the Prime Minister. This competition aims to involve youth in nation-building, with participants selected through essay evaluations and presentations.

The Department of Art, Culture, and Youth has ensured all necessary facilities and guidance for the participants, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing Bihar’s young talent and promoting their contributions to the nation.
