BJP Strengthens Village-Level Presence Ahead of 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections
Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the appointment of District Organization Election Officers across Bihar in a move aimed at bolstering its grassroots presence ahead of the 2025 assembly elections. This initiative is designed to enhance the party’s outreach and increase voter turnout, with a strong emphasis on including the most backward classes and Dalits, who make up about 80 percent of the appointed officers.
The BJP has appointed 45 District Organization Election Officers, of which approximately 35 come from the most backward and Dalit communities. This strategic selection highlights the party’s commitment to the development of marginalized groups and reinforces its focus on inclusivity at both the state and district levels.
Bihar BJP’s State Election Officer and State General Secretary Rajesh Verma announced the appointment of the District Organization Election Officers today. He stated that organizational elections will commence alongside a membership campaign, under which these officers will oversee the elections for district organizations. Verma emphasized that the BJP is a party of workers, asserting that any dedicated member can rise to significant positions within the party.
Among the key appointments, MLA Pramod Kumar has been designated as the Election Officer for Patna Rural, while the responsibility for Patna Metropolitan has been assigned to former MLA Vinay Singh. The list of appointed election officers also includes various MPs, MLAs, and Legislative Councilors, as well as state officials, showcasing a diverse representation within the organizational structure.
This strategic move by the BJP is expected to strengthen its position in Bihar as it prepares for the upcoming assembly elections, reinforcing its commitment to engage with all sections of society, particularly those who are often overlooked.
