BPSC Denies Rumours of Increased Vacancies in 70th CCE, Confirms 2,035 Posts

Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has firmly denied claims of an increase in the number of vacancies for its 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). In an official statement, the commission clarified that the recruitment will proceed with the originally advertised 2,035 posts, dismissing reports of an additional 501 posts as “false and misleading.”

No Increase in Vacancies

Rumours had surfaced in recent media reports suggesting that the total vacancies for the 70th CCE had been raised to 2,528. BPSC has categorically refuted these claims, reiterating that the examination was conducted for the previously declared 2,035 posts. Initially, the notification announced 1,957 vacancies, which were later increased to 2,035 through subsequent updates. However, the commission confirmed that no further additions have been made.

Official Clarification

In a notice shared via its official social media handle, @BPSCOffice, the commission stated:
“The 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination was conducted for the 2,035 posts advertised earlier. Claims of increased vacancies are baseless and false.”

Calls for CCE Cancellation Persist

Meanwhile, demands for the cancellation of the 70th CCE continue to grow, with protests being held in various locations. However, BPSC has remained steadfast, addressing these concerns separately.
