BRABU Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Chandra Rai Honoured with Bihar Kesari Award

Patna : Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Vice-Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), has been awarded the prestigious Bihar Kesari Award in recognition of his contributions to education and the vision of Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Dr. Srikrishna Singh.

The award was presented in Patna by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, at a ceremony attended by Bihar ministers Dr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary and Jeevesh Kumar Mishra. The event highlighted Prof. Rai’s role in promoting academic excellence and advancing the values championed by Dr. Singh.

Upon receiving the honour, Prof. Rai expressed his gratitude, stating: “I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Bihar Kesari Award. This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the BRABU community. Dr. Srikrishna Singh’s vision for Bihar has always been a source of inspiration, and I remain committed to fostering academic excellence and social responsibility.”

Prof. Rai, an academic with a distinguished career in Dairy Science and Food Technology, previously held key positions at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) before taking up his current role at BRABU. His tenure has been marked by efforts to improve educational standards and encourage intellectual growth.

The felicitation was met with widespread appreciation within the academic community, with LS College Principal Prof. Om Prakash Roy, Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, Dr. Navin Kumar, and others extending their congratulations.
