Patna: The Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM), operating under the state’s Labour Resources Department, has terminated its contracts with eight training providers after uncovering serious irregularities in their operations under the Domain Skilling Programme.
The institutions, based in Jamui, Muzaffarpur, Aurangabad, Gaya, Madhubani, Lakhisarai, Gopalganj and Saran, were found to have submitted false and misleading information related to enrolments and training activities. The action was taken in accordance with Clause 27 of tender BSDM/Domain (RFP)-165/2023, dated 13 October 2023.
Deepak Anand, Secretary of the Labour Resources Department and CEO of BSDM, emphasised a zero-tolerance policy toward misconduct in vocational training. “Strict action will be taken against any institute found violating the standards or misleading the mission in future,” he said, adding that quality and modern skill development for Bihar’s youth remains the mission’s highest priority.
