Patna: Crime is not stopping in Bihar as a young boy was shot in Patna on Sunday night. The incident happened in Almijan Nagar under Phulwarisharif police station area. The victim has been identified as Mohammad Rehan, aged 18. He was walking outside his house when suddenly he was shot in the stomach, leaving him badly injured.
According to his family, Rehan had gone out for a walk after dinner around 11 pm. Soon after, they heard him scream in pain. When they reached him, he was holding his stomach and said he was feeling severe pain. At first, he was taken to a private hospital, but after seeing his critical condition, doctors referred him to AIIMS Patna for better treatment.
Police reached the spot late at night after getting the information. Phulwarisharif Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushil Kumar said Rehan is now being treated at AIIMS. Police have started checking CCTV footage from the area to find out who shot him. They are also asking local people if they saw anything suspicious that could help in the investigation.
Phulwarisharif SHO Mohammad Ghulam Shahwaz Alam said it is still not clear who fired the shot and from where. This incident has spread fear among people in the locality as such crimes are happening near their homes. The police have assured that strict action will be taken against whoever is responsible for this attack.
